Aikido is the authorized defensive tactics system used by the
Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, one of the
best trained police departments in the world.
The techniques in this course are designed to minimize the reliance on strength in body movement to enable conservation of stamina.
The techniques are effective regardless of size or gender.
These techniques are designed to end a fight in a safer more practical way for the officer.
Aikido for law enforcement is far superior to any law enforcement hand to hand combat systems currently on the market! Aikido comes from martial techniques handed down for hundreds of years by the Japanese samurai, military, and police. Aikido techniques are tried and true battlefield tested over hundreds of years.
Don't be fooled you can not learn to protect yourself going through these modern schools for a few hours of mandatory training once a year. You need to train a minimum of 2 hours, two to three times a week, for several years before using any kind of training on the streets or battleground. Don't get hurt out there!!!!! Join a mainstream aikido school that has a direct connection to the founder of aikido and you will have the peace of mind you deserve from your training.
